German Citizenship Restoration – Our Journey and Expertise
As we enter 2023 and German Citizenship Restoration turns 4 years old (how did that happen?), I reflect on our journey so far.
Formed in the aftermath of the Brexit decision, we are a specialist team focusing exclusively on the restoration of German citizenship. Alexandra Margalith is our citizenship expert with 20 years of experience restoring German citizenship, and I oversee client services. Our singular focus ensures in depth knowledge of the German authorities’ exact demands and processes, so there is no reason for our clients’ applications to be denied or delayed.
How Our German Citizenship Restoration Service Works
Our service begins with a free eligibility consultation to assess each client’s individual case and determine the correct legal pathway to restore or acquire German citizenship. The applications we handle range from Article 116(2) GG, Section 15 StAG and most recently Section 5 StAG of the German Nationality Act. Depending on your circumstances, the consultation is followed by either a period of research in Germany to source the required documentary evidence, or we move straight to the application stage. Once this stage is reached, we assist clients with preparing their evidence and completing the official application forms required for submission to the authorities. Our mission is to seamlessly guide our clients through the complex documentary requirements of the German citizenship application process and ensure it is stress-free and, most importantly, successful.
Our Growth as German Citizenship Specialists
Since setting up in 2019, from humble beginnings with a handful of clients, we have worked tirelessly to establish German Citizenship Restoration and secure our reputation as German citizenship experts. Our business has rapidly expanded, and we now have a global client base. Almost 50% of our clients are based in the USA. The other half are spread across the UK, Europe, Australia and South America. To date, we have assisted hundreds of clients (with hundreds currently in processing at the authorities) to obtain German citizenship – the prerequisite to acquiring EU passports and the associated EU privileges.
Our biggest motivation is positive client feedback. Our high referral rate is the strongest indication that we are succeeding in this mission. When asked about our success rate, Alexandra and I are proud to say that not a single application has been refused by the authorities.

- Our business became truly global, with over 50% of clients based outside the UK
- 27 citizenships granted via Article 116(2) GG for one rather large family!
- Receiving fantastic client testimonials and over 25 referrals from past clients
- Meeting so many interesting and inspiring clients, learning of their family’s story and motivation to reclaim their citizenship
Our aspirations for 2023 are primarily to keep receiving those notifications from the authorities that confirm our clients’ applications have been successful. We will continue striving to ensure our clients are 100% delighted with our service so that referrals remain bountiful. As we pause and take stock of our achievements, we thank all our clients, past and present, who trusted us with their applications and allowed us to support them on their German citizenship journey.
