Alexandra Margalith-Strul is an Israeli, German and Irish citizen who was raised in Munich, Germany, where she received her law degree in the year 1994 and passed the Second State Examination of the Bavarian Ministry of Justice in 1997.
She then moved back to Israel, where she passed the entry exams into Israeli legal internship in 1998 and upon passing the Israeli bar examinations in May 1999, she became a full member of the Israeli Bar Association, receiving a notary public’s license in the year 2010.
Alexandra practiced as an associate in a Tel Aviv based law firm which specialized in German-Israeli legal and economic relations, where she was made full partner in the year 2004. Alexandra is self-employed since 2010.
In the year 2001 Alexandra set up a department in above Tel Aviv law firm, dealing exclusively with re-establishment of German citizenship for Israelis whose original German citizenship had been rescinded during the Nazi prosecutions, as well as for their descendants.
Since then Alexandra has been supporting many thousands of Israeli, US, UK and other Jews of German background in obtaining their German citizenship. As the legal expert at GCR she is the one who initially checks eligibility, does the research in Germany and prepares the German petition forms.
London-born and university educated, Sara brings a strong background in client relations and account management from her earlier career in public relations to her role as Director of Client Services at German Citizenship Restoration.
Since establishing German Citizenship Restoration with Alexandra in 2019, she has guided hundreds of applicants—including many large families spread across the globe—through their citizenship restoration journey, acting as their dedicated point of contact from initial consultation to successful outcome.
Sara finds it especially rewarding to navigate the unique challenges of coordinating complex, multi-generational cases while helping clients reconnect with their family heritage. She particularly values building lasting relationships, often being recommended to new applicants by those she has already assisted—a true testament to her caring approach, clear communication, and her focus on making a complex legal process feel as straightforward and reassuring as possible.
